Day1: Fes - Ifrane - Cedar forest - Ziz Valley - Merzouga desert
On the first day of your journey 2 days desert trip from Fes to Merzouga, you will set off early in the morning to begin an adventure through some of Morocco’s most stunning landscapes. Your first stop will be the charming town of Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco”, where European-style architecture blends with a calm and serene atmosphere.
Continue south toward the Middle Atlas forests, where you’ll enjoy a short but memorable stop to see wild Macaque monkeys and admire the beauty of the tall cedar trees. Day2: Merzouga desert - Fes
On the final day of this two-day desert tour from Fez, it’s recommended to wake up early to witness the magical sunrise over the desert dunes and capture the most beautiful moments. Afterwards, enjoy a delicious breakfast at the campsite before setting off for the city in a 4×4 vehicle.
Continue your journey north through Morocco, where the road takes you through the High and Middle Atlas Mountains on an adventure amidst breathtaking landscapes. My friend and I chose a private driver for 2 day/ 1 night in the Sahara desert from Marrakech. Our driver, Said, was so great. He was very knowledgeable, professional and kind.
This was during Ramadan so our trip may have been different otherwise. Not that we'd know as it was our first time in Morocco. Somethings were closed for Ramadan but I think also it was nice because there were less people around. We still got to see all sites and eat at great food stops. Said, our driver even bought us a box of dates from a village he went to school in. Very thoughtful. We felt safe with him and the car was clean and comfortable.
And yes. The drive was long ( took us 10 hrs each way) but you see so many things and make a few stops ( whatever you want!). It was easy and beautiful and I would recommend it to anyone. Once at the tent, if you don't take the camels to the spot then you get to take the 4×4 car and ride over the dunes. That is what we did and it was so fun. The camp was so cool and the views are what it's all about.
Personally. The one night tour was ideal ( and we were short on time ). This was the perfect trip with a trustworthy company. Thanks Said!!!!!
Our long overdue holiday to Morocco was amazing. From the first contact with Said to a 10 day trip with Youssef.
