Program Itinerary of 14 Days Tour from Casablanca
Day 1: Casablanca > Rabat (87 KM)
After breakfast, an exciting trip awaits you from Casablanca, the economic capital of the Kingdom of Morocco. In this vibrant city, you will begin by visiting the majestic Hassan II Mosque, which is evidence of Morocco’s architectural prowess and spiritual richness. It is the largest mosque in Morocco and the second in Africa.
The thirteenth in the world, the mosque’s minaret is considered the second tallest, with a height of 210 meters (689 feet). The mosque can accommodate a maximum of about 105,000 worshipers for prayer: 25,000 inside the mosque hall and another 80,000 in the mosque’s external grounds. Its intricate details and tranquil atmosphere immerse visitors in calm amidst the bustling cityscape.
From there, you can pass through the historical fabric of Rabat, Morocco’s political capital, where ancient treasures like the Kasbah of the Udayas, the timeless grandeur of the Hassan Tower, and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V offer glimpses into the country’s ancient past. Before heading towards Medina, it was uniformly white.
Day 2: Rabat > Tangier (245 KM)
After enjoying breakfast in the capital, your tour will continue northwards to one of Morocco’s most beautiful cities, Tangier, often called the Bride of the North.
On your way, you will have the opportunity to visit several fascinating sites: the Caves of Hercules. Steeped in mythology, these caves outside Tangier offer breathtaking sea views and a rich history.
Cape Spartel Lighthouse: Standing at the northernmost point of Africa’s Atlantic coast, this lighthouse, located at an elevation of 315 meters, marks the confluence of the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.
Kasbah and Medina: Explore Tangier’s old medina, with its narrow streets, bustling markets, and historic buildings. The Kasbah provides a stunning panoramic view of the Strait of Gibraltar. American Legation Museum: Situated in the Medina, this museum showcases the historical relationship between Morocco and the United States. These stops will enrich your journey with natural beauty, cultural heritage, and historical insights.
Day 3: Tangier > M'diq > Tetouan > Chefchaouen ( 170 KM)
After breakfast, your tour will resume on its third day, following the Mediterranean coast towards the charming city of Chefchaouen, the Blue Pearl. Along the way, you’ll pass through the charming coastal towns of M’diq and Fnideq, where you can enjoy their beautiful beaches. Arrive in the UNESCO-listed city of Tetouan, famous for its Andalusian and Moorish influences, and visit landmarks such as the Royal Palace and Place des Fédans.
Finally, arrive in Chefchaouen, immerse yourself in its famous blue streets, and explore the old city. This route offers a seamless blend of coastal beauty, historical richness, and the distinct charm of Chefchaouen.
Day 4: Excursion to Akchour Waterfalls (70 KM)
After breakfast, you will embark on a trip to the amazing Akchour Waterfalls, a series of picturesque waterfalls surrounded by lush greenery that provides stunning views and natural beauty. Along the way, you’ll encounter rugged mountains and winding trails and pass through various rural villages, providing a glimpse into Morocco’s rural culture and traditions. Enjoy the valley’s beauty and a delicious lunch at one of the local restaurants.
During the afternoon, return to Chefchaouen to wander its famous blue streets, visit the Kasbah Museum to learn about the city’s history and culture, and explore the bustling Medina. Enjoy a panoramic view of Chefchaouen from the Spanish Mosque for photography, relaxation, and watching the sunset. Overnight in Chefchaouen.
Day 5: Chefchaouen > Volubilis> Fes (250 KM)
Breakfast. Continue your tour by heading south. After leaving Chefchaouen and the Rif Mountains, head towards the historic city of Fes, the scientific capital of the Kingdom of Morocco.
Passing through Volubilis, you can visit the ancient Roman ruins that were the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Mauritania. Founded in the third century BC, the Roman Empire made it an important site and dedicated it to magnificent buildings and monuments. It later became, for a short period, the capital of Idris I, the founder of the Idrisid state. He was buried near the archaeological site, which included well-preserved mosaics and archaeological sites.
In the afternoon, head towards the city of Fes, passing through large areas of agricultural land, before arriving at the city of Fes, one of the oldest and most historic Moroccan cities.
Day 6: Fes sightseeing tour with a local guide
After breakfast, embark on a guided tour of Fes, beginning at your Riad. Fes is composed of three distinct parts. Fes El Djedid (New Fes), established in the 13th century, houses most royal palaces, gardens, and museums. The Ville Nouvelle, the modern city built by the French in the 20th century, features tree-lined avenues with cafes, juice shops, patisseries, and restaurants.
However, the true essence of Morocco is found in Fes el Bali (Old Fes). Founded in 800 BC by Moulay Idriss II, this labyrinth of over 900 narrow, twisting lanes is mesmerizing. Wandering through the local souks feels like stepping back into the Middle Ages, as the locals work much as they did 1,230 years ago.
Here, you’ll encounter copper smiths, the pungent tanneries, vibrant yarns in the dyers’ souks, and children expertly balancing bread trays on their heads. The cries of “balak balak”—attention!—will have you hugging the walls to avoid the heavily laden mules passing by.
Revel in the enchanting architecture, with its intricate mosaic tiles, meticulously carved stucco, and elaborately decorated cedar wood ceilings. This journey through Fes el Bali promises an unforgettable immersion into Morocco’s historical and cultural heart.
Day 7: Fes > Ifrane > Midelt (200 KM)
After savoring a delightful breakfast, you embarked on a southward journey to Midelt, the apple capital. You will travel through the picturesque Middle Atlas Mountains and the expansive Cedar forests. Along the way, stroll through the enchanting city of Ifrane, noted for its Swiss-inspired charm, and visit the distinctive Atlantic Lion Stone to marvel at its unique appeal.
Continue your adventure towards the cedar forests of Azrou, where you can relish the breathtaking panoramic views and observe the majestic Barbary macaques in their natural habitat.
Day 8: Midelt > Ziz Valley > Sahara desert (260 KM)
After breakfast, resume your journey by heading south towards Merzouga, passing through the High Atlas Mountains and the vast green palm oases in the famous Ziz Valley.
During your trip, you will stop at the highest panoramic point in the Ziz Valley, then drive along the Ziz Valley to Erfoud, the largest open-air paleontology museum in Morocco. Stop at one of the excavation work units to learn about the region’s history.
Finally, reach Merzouga, where you will be waiting for a camel ride across the golden dunes to enjoy the charming views, watch the sunset, and take unforgettable photos before heading towards the camp, where a delicious dinner and a musical evening await you around the fireplace, as well as listening to quiet notes under a sky studded with millions of stars.
Day 9: Explore the Sahara Desert by 4x4 Vehicle
Wake up early and head to the nearest dunes to have the opportunity to watch the sunrise, which is considered one of the most beautiful and famous activities in the region. Then, return to camp for breakfast before setting off on an exceptional day to explore the area by 4×4 car.

Head towards Khamliya to learn about Gnawa music’s distinctive and rich style. Head towards Bedouin communities to learn about their lifestyle and how they adapt to life, then stop at several panoramic points.
Then, go to one of the restaurants to try Berber pizza, considered the region’s most famous dish. During the afternoon, there will be free time where you can try different activities, such as riding motorcycles, horses, quad bikes, and ATVs…etc!
Day 10: Sahara Desert > Todgha Gorge > Dades Valley (300 KM)
Wake up early to witness a breathtaking Sahara sunrise over the golden dunes. After enjoying a delicious breakfast at your desert camp, return to Merzouga by camel trek or a comfortable 4×4 ride, depending on your preference.
Continue your scenic journey toward Boumalne Dades, traveling through Rissani, Erfoud, and the spectacular Todgha Gorges. Enjoy a relaxing walk along the Todra River beneath the towering canyon walls of Todgha Gorge in Tinghir.
Arrive in Boumalne Dades in the afternoon. Before checking into your accommodation, take a picturesque drive through the Dades Valley to admire the extraordinary rock formations famously known as the “Monkey Fingers.” End the day with a peaceful evening in a charming hotel nestled in the heart of the Dades Valley.
Day 11: Dades Valley > Ouarzazate > Ait Ben Haddou > High Atlas Mountains > Marrakech (350 KM)

Upon arrival in Ouarzazate, you may choose to visit the famous Atlas Studios, home to impressive movie sets and props from many internationally renowned films. If you prefer, you can simply stop for photos outside before continuing your journey.
Just 15 km from Ouarzazate lies the legendary Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its appearance in the TV series Game of Thrones as Yunkai, as well as in iconic movies such as Gladiator and many others.
After exploring the Kasbah and enjoying lunch, continue your drive toward Marrakech through the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka Pass, which rises to 2,260 meters above sea level. Along the way, admire the dramatic mountain scenery and panoramic views of the High Atlas Mountains.
Your unforgettable day ends with arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon.

The tour will also include visiting the most important tourist attractions, such as Jemaa el-Fna Square, the Koutoubia Mosque, and the Bahia Palace. Ben Youssef Madrasa (School)…etc!

After breakfast, your journey continues west towards the Atlantic Ocean, heading to Essaouira. Starting at 9:00 a.m., you will travel through extensive landscapes dotted with rare argan trees, visiting a women’s cooperative that produces pure argan oil.
Upon arriving in Essaouira at 11:30 a.m., immerse yourself in the city’s rich culture within its historic medina. Wander through the narrow streets, uncovering history at every turn, and explore numerous art galleries showcasing local talent.

We had an amazing experience with Saharan Tours company and would highly recommend them to anyone planning a trip to Morocco. Our itinerary was perfectly balanced. Allowing us to explore Morocco's rich culture, stunning landscapes, and vibrant cities. Highlights included wandering the colorful streets of chefchaouin, exploring the history of medinas of Fes and Marrakech. And enjoying the magical night under the stars in the Sahara desert.
Our driver/ guide Said was fantastic, knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about sharing Morocco's history and traditions. The accommodations were comfortable and authentic. And the transportation was smooth and reliable. What I liked the most were the 2 nights I spent in the Sahara Desert, it's a completely different world, we had a full day in the desert and also had the chance to experience ATVs riding.
If you're looking for a well organized memorable Moroccan adventure. Saharan Tours is an excellent choice. 5/5 Stars exceptional service and authentic experience.
We had wonderful trip to Morocco. Thanks to Said and Ibrahim with Saharan Tours.
Said accommodate all our requests and built a great itinerary for us. Including Riads, hotels, desert camp for our stay. Our transportation from destination to destination, and guided tours in each place.
Ibrahim drove us everywhere during 10 day trip, tirelessly helping us with everything. We are ever so grateful to him for his help. Especially because he had to be away from his family during the month of Ramadan.
The guides that company had for us were great (Fes and Marrakech medinas) Many many thanks and we recommend Saharan Tours to everyone thinking of a trip to Morocco.
My friend and I chose a private driver for 2 day/ 1 night in the Sahara desert from Marrakech. Our driver, Said, was so great. He was very knowledgeable, professional and kind.
This was during Ramadan so our trip may have been different otherwise. Not that we'd know as it was our first time in Morocco. Somethings were closed for Ramadan but I think also it was nice because there were less people around. We still got to see all sites and eat at great food stops. Said, our driver even bought us a box of dates from a village he went to school in. Very thoughtful. We felt safe with him and the car was clean and comfortable.
And yes. The drive was long ( took us 10 hrs each way) but you see so many things and make a few stops ( whatever you want!). It was easy and beautiful and I would recommend it to anyone. Once at the tent, if you don't take the camels to the spot then you get to take the 4×4 car and ride over the dunes. That is what we did and it was so fun. The camp was so cool and the views are what it's all about.
Personally. The one night tour was ideal ( and we were short on time ). This was the perfect trip with a trustworthy company. Thanks Said!!!!!
Our long overdue holiday to Morocco was amazing. From the first contact with Said to a 10 day trip with Youssef.
All communication/ Emails to Said were replied to quickly and I understood exactly what we were getting. I never felt like anything was a problem or a hassle.
Our driver Youssef was the best. We couldn't have asked for a better person to share our experience with and we will always remember him and feel we have a connection to Morocco through him. His local knowledge and general warmth made our long days together fun. Our 10 day trip from Casablanca to Casablanca and everywhere in between captured so many different experiences. And a special highlight was the New Year's event in the Sahara desert.
I can't recommend Saharan Tours company enough. I just hope one day we can go back with all the family for some more.
